INCOME GENERATION PROGRAMME FOR FLOOD AFFECTED WIDOWS
Aim for the project was the social mainstreaming of widows in the flood affected places of PSSS. The programme was implemented with the financial support of Kerala Social Service Forum. 15 widows received the financial support. 7 widows started poultry farming and 8 started goat rearing. Through these Income Generation Programmes their family income and small savings increased. Their self esteem and self confidence also increased.
Pollution free poultry farming (PFPF)
PFPF is an eco friendly poultry farming. It is an organic livestock practice. With the financial help from Kerala Social Service Forum 2 women started PFPF.

RELIEF KITS
During the time of Flood 2018 PSSS actively involved in rescue, relief, rehabilitation and rebuilding operations. With the assistance from donor agencies, like minded NGOs, diocese of Punalur and well wishers of PSSS distributed 5000 food and nonfood kits.
Food Kits & Wash Kits :To live in a healthy and hygiene situation Water,Sanitation and Hygiene –WASH-are most immediate needs. For a healthy society Caritas India provided 1000 wash kits. This wash kits were distributed in the flood affected area. As a part of wash intervention the wash awareness and hygienic practices done in the disaster area.
KERALA FLOOD RECOVERY PROGRAMME 2018.
Aim: The project aims at the rehabilitation of 145 families from 7 Panchayats of Alapuzha and Pathanamthitta districts of Punalur Social Service Society.
7 Panchayats in Pathanamthitta and Alapuzha districts where the participants belonged had been heavily affected by flood 2018. It caused damages of houses crops and livelihood initiative. PSSS provided disaster mitigation services to the affected villages in these districts with the support of Caritas India.

REHABILITATION OF HOUSELESS FAMILIES AFFECTED BY FLOOD 2018 THROUGH HOUSE MAINTENANCE INITIATIVES.
Objective. The project aims at the Rehabilitation of Houseless Families Affected by Flood 2018 and House maintenance initiatives
Objective. Socially and economically discriminated 19 families affected by Kerala Flood 2018 from Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alapuzha
To build 19 livable houses to socially and economically discriminated families affected by Kerala flood.
Result. Socially and economically discriminated 19 families built livable houses with basic facilities and enhance position self image and self identity
REBUILDING OF THE DESTROYED DWELLING HOUSES OF FLOOD VICTIMS IN PUNALUR DIOCESAN AREA.

To rebuild 9 houses of flood victims in Punalur diocesan area.
