KOLPING INDIA, DIOCESE OF PUNALUR

The Kolping Society was founded by Bl. Adolf Kolping (1813-1865). Kolping Society is an Inter-National Religious and Charitable Society spread over 61 Countries in the World with its head quarters at Colon, Germany. The International Kolping Society was started a Diocesan Unit in 1987, but now there are about 41 units in four Federations covering Punalur, Pandithitta, Adoor and Charummood. The Society is operating two Industrial Training Centres at Punalur and Charummood respectively. There about 1200 students are undergoing training in various Computer Courses. The Kolping Society gives much importance in Vocational Training, Self Employment Programme, Income Generating Programme together with Housing, Seminars and Training.
